MORAN SANDEROVICH

CIRCULATION

Circulation depicts a performer imprisoned within a cyclical system of inhalation and exhalation. She nourishes herself through an external breathing apparatus, reanimating the traces of a mythical world that can only exist by artificial respiration.

The sound of prerecorded, computer processed breathing accompanies the cyclical process in which the performer is immersed. The costume is constructed from ready-made objects and natural materials juxtaposed and attached so as to become one with the body beneath.

The work has appeared in the DADA and Surrealism Exhibition in the National Museum of Israel.
